Heed Welfare Organization, committed to improving lives and cultivating a culture of care and sympathy, is a glimmer of hope and support in our community. We were founded to have a good influence, and we put forth great effort to meet the needs of marginalized and disadvantaged communities. Our programs are multidisciplinary, promoting overall development and welfare.

Our Objective

Our goal is to assist people with health, energy, life, lovely, and joy. In addition to delivering requirements, our goals are to improve social equality, advance health treatment, and improve healthcare. We work to create a society where each child has the chance to grow and live a life that is well-intentioned of dignity without thalassemia.

 

Mehran Thalassemia Center

Heed Welfare Organization's flagship project, the Mehran Thalassemia Center, is a prime example of our dedication to providing specialist medical care. The inherited blood condition thalassemia necessitates careful and ongoing care. Modern facilities and a committed team of medical specialists staff our clinic, offering extensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and support services. Abstract The estimated population of Pakistan is approximately 225,633,392 (225 million). The healthcare delivery system of Pakistan is complex because it includes healthcare subsystems operated by both the federal government and the provincial government. In Pakistan β-thalassemia (β-thal) trait frequency ranges between 5.0-7.0%, thus, there are more than 10 million carriers in the country; and every year, around 5000 children are diagnosed to carry β-thal major (β-TM) in Pakistan. No standard management protocols exist and blood transfusion remains the mainstay of management. Most of the population belong to the lower socioeconomic strata, family units are large and therefore cannot afford to pay for treatment and management of their thalassemic child. Introduction Thalassemia  are inherited  blood disorders  that result in abnormal  hemoglobin . [7]  Symptoms depend on the type of thalassemia and can vary from none to severe.
